I do not accept commission requests for formal/family portraits, specific likenesses, or pets, but I have brought mythical creatures, beloved characters, (rendered in my style) symbolic imagery, and many fantasy/sci-fi illustrations to life. All my work is rendered in oil paint on gallery wrapped canvas and sealed with an archival varnish. Because I am working through a commission list, you should expect the process (from concept to delivery) to take at least 8 weeks. The process looks something like this:
Initial concept (intake and follow up questions)
Oil sketch/direction is approved (or re-worked to make sure it captures what you were looking for)
Payment is collected
Finished painting is approved
Painting dries (1-2 weeks)
Painting receives a gloss coat and dries again (1 week)
Painting is shipped
Below is my pricing scale:
SMALL (up to 16”x 20”) — $300
MEDIUM (up to 30”) — $400
LARGE (over 30”) — $500 + (Price increases with size)
Shipping costs are affected by size, weight, and distance. The Shipping fee for a 16” x 20” painting typically totals $30, for reference. If you live in the Carolinas and would prefer to pick up your artwork in person, that can be arranged.
